Rule # 5: Runner MUST Submit Medical Certificate

All qualified runners must submit their Medical Certificate taken at least two (2) months before Race Day.

We will start receiving Medical Certicates on January 16, 2010 and the Last Day of Acceptance will be on March 1, 2010. Please send Copy of Medical Certificate through e-mail at bdm102@hotmail.com or send it through the Post Mail at:

Bald Runner's Events
115 2nd Floor M.H. Del Pilar corner E. Angeles Streets
Barangay Santo Tomas, Pasig City 1600

If the Medical Certificate will be sent through the Mail, make sure that it will reach us before March 1, 2010.

NO MEDICAL CERTIFICATE, NO RUN

My two cents again. Date of mailing should be considered the date of submission. Thus, if emailed on March 01, 2010 but actual receipt is on March 04, 2010, the submission is still within the time frame and hence, valid.

will there be any standard medical form from the organizer or any medical certificate from a licensed Physician will do?

some suggestioins:

basic labs for all:
complete blood count - to check for anemia
creatinine - to check the kidneys
sodium and potassium - electrolytes

additional labs for those with hypertension, heart disease and/or diabetes:
12 L ECG - to check the kidneys

for those with diabetes:
fasting blood sugar - to check whether their diabetes is controlled

other additional labs will depend on the MD giving the clearance.

medical clearance should clearly state: physically fit to join and run 102 kilometers

wups, an error:

12 L ECG - to check the heart, not the kidneys
